Rental Terms and Conditions - DS Auto

1. Minimum Rental Time

The minimum rental time for a car is 24 hours. After the agreed period, a 30-minute grace period is provided for returning the vehicle. If the return is delayed beyond that, a fee of at least one additional day will be charged.

2. Driver Age

The minimum age limit for the driver is 22 years. Drivers under 22 years of age are charged an additional €10 per day. The maximum age limit is 75 years.

3. Driving License

The driver's license must have been issued at least two years prior to the rental date. The customer must have a valid driver's license throughout the rental period.

4. Payment Methods

The rental payment is made in advance upon receipt of the vehicle. The renter is required to present a valid credit or debit card, accepted by DS Auto, for the agreed guarantee, the advance payment and the payment of the rental cost.

5. Fines and Violations

Any violations or administrative penalties resulting from the driver's fault are solely the responsibility of the lessee. In the event of removal of license plates or registration due to a violation, the relevant costs are borne by the lessee.

6. Limitation of Liability (CDW)

The renter's liability for damages to the rental vehicle can be limited by selecting the appropriate coverage (CDW), provided that the Highway Code is not violated. The daily cost and liability limit depend on the vehicle category and are stated on the rental agreement.

7. Daily Kilometers

Any excess of the daily mileage limit will result in a charge per kilometer, depending on the vehicle category. The relevant prices are stated in the rental contract.

8. Additional Services

• Additional Guide: €5 per day for each additional driver.
• Child Seat: €4 per day, available upon reservation only.
• GPS: €8 per day, available upon reservation only.
• Roof Rack: €9 per day, available upon reservation only.
• Snow Chains: €3 per day, available upon reservation only.

9. Fuel / Charging Policy

The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as it was when it was picked up. Insufficient fuel will incur, in addition to the value of the fuel, a one-time "Service Fee" of €5. For electric vehicles, the charge level upon return must be at least 15%. Otherwise, a "Charging Service Fee" of €10 applies.

10. Boat Transfer

Transport of the rental vehicle by ship is only permitted with prior written approval from DS Auto. Any damage that occurs during transport is not covered by any insurance.

11. Pet Policy

The transport of pets is permitted only on condition that they are kept in a suitable cage. In case of excessive wear or when biological cleaning is required, a charge of €50 is imposed.

12. Smoking Ban

Smoking is prohibited in all DS Auto vehicles. Violation will result in a cleaning fee of €60.

13. Vehicle Delivery and Return

The renter must return the vehicle to the pickup location, unless a different location has been agreed. In the event of an excessively dirty vehicle, a cleaning fee of €20 may be charged. No refunds will be given for late pickup, early return or unused days.

14. Warranty

Upon receipt of the vehicle, a security deposit is held on the driver's credit/debit card. This amount is fully released after the rental period ends, provided that no other charges are incurred. The release process may take up to 14 days, depending on the issuing bank.

15. Vehicle Type Changes

DS Auto reserves the right to provide a different type of car than the one originally booked, of equal or higher category, depending on availability.

16. Trademarks and Intellectual Property

All logos, marks and materials appearing on the DS Auto website or in its publications are protected by copyright law. Reproduction, distribution or modification without the express consent of DS Auto is prohibited.

17. Terms Amendments

These terms and conditions may be modified at any time by DS Auto, without prior notice. The most recent version is always posted on the official website. dsrentacarkefalonia.com.
